Akankshya in Barsha’s shoes?

Ollywood was in for a major surprise when a Bengali actor, Akankshya Chowdhury, was cast opposite Anubhav Mohanty in ACP Ranveer giving Barsha Priyadarshini a miss! Ask director Sudhakar Vasanth about the unusual casting and he says, “The script required a glamorous and hot look. There are some bold scenes as well. So, I decided to take Akankhsya.” Anubhav, with tongue firmly in his cheek, says, “When I was being cast opposite Barsha, there were questions galore about that. Now that she is not there in the movie, questions still remain. I guess, the media has to decide once and for all what they want me to do.”Akankshya, who is a Bengali by birth, says, “This is my debut film and I’m hoping that people will appreciate me. I am glad to have got the opportunity to be cast opposite Anubhav.”
